Known for her intellect and caring nature, Annabel Barry ’19 was recently named a George J. Mitchell Scholar, an award only given to 12 scholars nationwide out of 370 applicants.
A new exhibit on campus is casting spells from the Cotsen Children’s Library. Wizarding 101, an exhibit commemorating the 20th anniversary of J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” features supernatural picture books with a wizarding world twist.
On Wednesday, Oct. 17, Rockefeller Head of College Clancy Rowley sent an email to Holder Hall residents about “human feces found in the trash can in the men’s bathroom.”
Around 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, a student in a Cottage Club sweatshirt handed a Wawa cashier his ID. “We only accept American IDs,” said the cashier. The student, irate, stormed out. He was trying to buy a Juul pod.
“We want to be a part of the campus community, to see our friends, but also we’re obviously married,” Matthew Kritz ’18 said.
“Revolt of the Suburbs in the 1968 & 2018 Elections,” an Oct. 2 panel of three award-winning historians, deconstructed the shift of the U.S. suburban population over time and their current influence. Kevin Kruse, a Princeton history professor, moderated the panel between Lily Geismer, professor at Claremont McKenna College, and Matthew Lassiter, assistant professor at the University of Michigan.
