Track and field, softball, crew to compete this weekend

Following the recent advancement to Phase IV, the final stage of the Ivy League’s four-phase plan, Princeton Athletics has released an updated spring competition schedule that includes softball games, track meets, and rowing competitions. ‘Creating our competitive identity’: Women’s swimming and diving sets eyes on the fall

Coming off a dominant win at the Ivy League championships in 2020, the Princeton women’s swim and dive team was looking forward to defending their title in 2021. Women’s hockey heads to Ithaca with a chance to make history

Should they sweep this weekend’s games, the team will emerge as the ECAC Tournament Champion for the first time in school history. 

Men’s lacrosse to face in-state rival Rutgers

For Rutgers and no. 3 Princeton men’s lacrosse, it’s been a close two years. On March 10, 2018, the Tigers claimed a 15–14 overtime victory on Sherrerd Field. On March 9, 2019, they fell 9–8 in Piscataway, New Jersey. This weekend, they will face the Scarlet Knights on Sherrerd Field again. 

Women’s hockey begins ‘second season’ against Quinnipiac in ECAC Quarterfinals

The Bobcats left their mark in Princeton’s record books in 2017 when they defeated the Tigers 3–2 in triple OT of game one in the ECAC Quarterfinals, the longest game in Tiger history. Since then, however, Princeton has dominated them, snuffing that 2017 team by winning the next two in the series, and then winning five of the six meetings since.

The teams are heading to Ithaca, N.Y., this weekend for the annual Ivy League track and field championship meet. The women are looking to improve upon their fifth-place finish from last year, while the men are hoping to defend their indoor team championship title.

Women’s softball will make the long journey to the Lone Star State this weekend for the annual Houston Tournament. From Friday, Feb. 21, to Sunday, Feb. 23, the Tigers will take on Louisiana Tech, Texas Tech, Syracuse, and the University of Houston.

Men’s volleyball to take on Penn State, Saint Francis

Men's Volleyball will face Penn State on Friday and Saint Francis on Saturday. Princeton beat the Nittany Lions in the finals of the EIVA Championships last April — the Tigers defeated St. Francis in the semifinals of that same tournament.
