People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) brought a traveling virtual reality exhibit to Princeton in order to highlight the cruelty of animal laboratory testing. The Princeton Neuroscience Institute (PNI) adopted certain preemptive measures as a result.

“Land acknowledgments should be viewed as a beginning and not an ending,” wrote Reverend Dr. J.R. Norwood, who served as Tribal Councilman for the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribe for 15 years. “They should be statements that honor the past and pledge to show proper respect by building bridges into the future.”

Over 500 people attended the vigil hosted by the Princeton Ethiopian and Eritrean Student Association, and over 120 students attended the vigil hosted by the University and Office of Religious Life.

Former Princeton economics professors Ben Bernanke and Philip Dybvig awarded Nobel Prize in Economics

Two former Princeton professors have been awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. Bernanke is currently a distinguished senior fellow with the Economic Studies program at the Brookings Institution. He served as the chairman of the Federal Reserve from 2006 to 2014. Dybvig is a Professor of Banking and Finance at the Olin Business School of Washington University in St. Louis.

Two former Princeton professors have been awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences.
