The University will partner with five HBCUs — Howard University, Jackson State University, Prairie View A&M University, Spelman College, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore — to fund research projects in all disciplines that are led by researchers from the HBCUs working with Princeton faculty.

After the concentration declaration period for A.B. sophomores ended last month, new departmental trends emerged for the Class of 2024. The ‘Prince’ analyzed these trends, which include consistent popularity for computer science and decreasing interest in the humanities and natural sciences.

According to a bill passed by Gov. Phil Murphy and other lawmakers last year, NJ retailers and food service businesses will no longer be permitted to use or distribute single-use plastic bags. The bill goes into effect on May 4.

The University approved a proposal which would allow students beginning in the Class of 2025 to pursue academic “minors.” The minors program will eventually replace the certificates program. A proposal to change the nomenclature of “concentrations” to “majors” was also approved.
