Princeton professors Shane Campbell-Staton, Felix Heide, John Jimah, Anirudha Majumdar, Mikkel Plagborg-Møller, and Sanfeng Wu were named 2023 Sloan Research Fellows. Winners of the Sloan Research Fellowship are granted a two-year fellowship and a $75,000 stipend to foster research endeavors.

After a two-week union campaign, the Princeton Graduate Students United (PGSU) announced that the University will raise some graduate student stipends by $5,000 in the 2023–2024 academic year. In an attachment to a recent memo sent out to the graduate student body, the University confirmed that the annual stipend rate for the 2023–2024 academic year will be between $47,880 and $50,400.

Construction of the block of Witherspoon Street closest to campus should be completed by Mar. 3, though additional construction down the street will continue at least into 2024. Another  project that will add a new traffic light with a pedestrian phase signal and extended sidewalks to the intersection of Witherspoon and Nassau Streets is set to begin Feb. 28.

The Princeton Graduate Student Government Assembly (GSG) voted to release a message of support for Princeton Graduate Students United (PGSU), at their meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The vote comes less than a week after a PGSU rally on Feb.15, which drew over 150 supporters of the unionization effort.
