News & Notes: Princeton Police Department investigating apparent suicide

The Princeton Police Department is currently investigating an apparent suicide.

While on patrol around6:30 a.m., officers found the body of a 23-year-old male resident on Spring Street. No note was found on the scene, police said, but his car was located in the garage. The PPD says it believes the man jumped from the Spring Street Garage.

He was both unconscious and unresponsive, and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Spring Street was closed to traffic until around10 a.m.Tuesdaymorning. The identity of the victim is known, but has not been released publicly. The police is waiting for the family to be notified.

According to the PPD, the victim is neither a student nor a member of the University community.
