Men’s hockey now looks to rebound from these upsets as they approach their rematch against Union this Saturday, Mar. 4. The new single-elimination structure for first-round playoff games within the ECAC means that the Tigers will potentially face the final game of their season, needing a win in order to advance to the three-game series quarterfinals.

“You know, we’ve talked about legacy and the next 100 years,” head coach Ron Fogarty said, in reference to the 100th anniversary of Princeton hockey and the celebration of senior night. “And now those five guys have done a tremendous job. They’re going to be really missed, but they’re going to be deeply remembered for what they’ve done here.”

Despite opening up a 3–0 lead over the Crimson, the Tigers fell to Harvard when the Crimson scored with just 28 seconds left in overtime. Against Dartmouth, meanwhile, the Tigers were able to hold their lead, winning 4–2.
