Tigers sweep Ivy League with perfect 14-0 record

The 2016-17 Princeton men’s basketball team has joined an elite group with their perfect 14-0 Ivy League record. After an 85-48 blowout win against Dartmouth (7-20 overall, 4-10 Ivy), the Tigers have completed their sweep of the Ivy League and extended their winning streak to 17 games.

Once the Princeton squad (21-6, 14-0) secured the first seed of the Ivy League tournament by edging out Harvard on Friday, they showed no signs of slowing down. Clearly aiming for yet another Ivy League win, Princeton opened the first half by scoring 52 points on 50 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

The Princeton team honored their seniors prior to the match, giving them a worthy send off as the Tigers capped off the Ivy League in emphatic fashion.

The Tigers now set their sights on the Ivy League tournament. Princeton will be the top seed next weekend at the Palestra, where they will face No. 4 Penn on Saturday. However, the Tigers have already secured postseason play, with the Princeton squad receiving an NIT berth if it does not win the Ivy League tournament.
