News & Notes: Temporary Dinky to be replaced by bus this week

The temporary Dinky station closed on Monday, and the new Dinky station will open on Nov. 17.

A bus service will transport train riders from campus to Princeton Junction fromNov. 10 - 16 while the Dinky is closed.

The temporary Dinky station, located on Alexander Road, was established to transport passengers to Princeton Junction while the new Dinky station, which is part of the new Arts and Transit neighborhood, was being built.

The replacement bus service is provided by New Jersey Transit and the University’s TigerPAWW shuttle, which has stops at College Road across from McCarter Theatre and near the taxi stand area on the Philadelphia side of the Princeton Junction tracks.

Features of the new Dinky’s transit plaza will include short-term parking for Wawa patrons, “kiss-and-ride” parking for train riders, a drop-off and pickup area for drivers, bike racks, a new bike rental program, bus stops for NJ Transit, the FreeB, the University-operated TigerTransit and a taxi stand.
