Arts: Works on Paper Show
Want to get artistically inspired? The Lewis Center for the Arts is offering an exhibition of fall visual arts classes titled “Works on Paper Show and Video Screening.” VIS 202: Introductory Drawing, VIS 212: Introductory Photography, VIS 222: Introductory Sculpture and VIS 312: Introduction to Color Photography will be represented in all kinds of media. Party: CSA’s Chinese New Year Banquet
Chinese New Year only happens once a year, as they say. This year celebrate with Chinese Students Association as they host their annual banquet! As if the promise of Chinese food wasn’t enough, the extravaganza will feature student dance troupes, genuine zither music, a Chinese yo-yo performance by “America’s Got Talent” alum He Jia Yi and much, much more. Here’s just a taste of what you’ll find this year at OAF.Theatre IntimeThursday through Saturday, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Music: Narek HakhnazaryanPrinceton University Concerts will be putting on a Classics Series throughout the year, and next up on the lineup is the young but incredibly talented Armenian cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan. He will be playing sonatas by Beethoven, Brahms, and Rachmaninoff in an evening that is sure to provide the classical music of the highest caliber. If moving, impeccably-played classical pieces are not enough to lure you, there will be an opportunity to meet the artist at the post-concert reception and learn how his last name is pronounced, at which time free food will also be provided.
