Terrace Club kicks it up a notch this weekend, putting together a stellar lineup that has something for everyone. Make no mistake: If there were ever a weekend for you to spend some time at Terrace and rock out late into the night, this is it.

Thursday night begins with Givers, an indie-rock band from Lafayette, L.A. Clad in bright, sunny clothes and giving off a distinct Woodstock vibe, Givers plays what can only be described as feel-good music. The extraordinarily young musicians - all are in their early 20s - produce a sophisticated afro-beat sound that is especially refreshing during the middle of a dreary New Jersey autumn. Imagine Vampire Weekend without the pretention, preppiness and Prada, and you'll only begin to get a sense of what they can do.

Givers will be followed by Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, an Oregon-based singer-songwriter with an extremely long name. Citing influences as far-ranging as Tom Petty and Jay-Z, Robinson's sound is mellow, eclectic and experimental enough to keep you listening.

Rounding off Thursday night is Brownout, a Latin-funk outfit from Austin, Texas. Having played at Terrace back when they were known as Grupo Fantasma, the eight-man band - complete with congas, a saxophone and a trombone - is energetic, lively and certain to get all of Terrace on its feet. Plus, they've played with Prince. How many people can say that?

Saturday night is poised to be one of the best show nights that Terrace has put together all year. Opening is Ninjasonik, an ensemble that currently finds itself at the forefront of the up-and-coming Brooklyn rap scene. Ninjasonik is at once hip-hop and hipster, making its music instantly palatable for a wide spectrum of people. More importantly, the trio's live shows are simply insane, providing as much entertainment value in the between-song banter as in the music itself.

Closing out the weekend is The Hood Internet, a group consisting of two laptop-toting DJs from Chicago. They are nothing short of musical alchemists, mashing together the unlikeliest songs to create brilliantly simple dance music that would get any party started, even a Princeton one. More contemporary than Girl Talk and less schizophrenic than Super Mash Bros., DJs ABX and STV SLV are technically gifted and musically savvy.

I wasn't kidding about what I said at the start: This may be Terrace Club's best lineup of the year, and it's not one to miss. Whether you like your music played with real instruments or mixed-and-mashed on a computer, there's definitely something here for you.
