Dance: Naacho presents “Raaz”
Naacho comes out with its new, Bollywood-themed show, “Raaz,” just in time to celebrate the Oscar triumph of “Slumdog Millionaire.” Expect vibrant colors, extravagant costumes and a mix of Indian dancing styles. Maybe they’ll throw Best Song winner “Jai Ho” in there for the ultimate Bollywood sugar rush. Either way, it should be a deliriously good time.

March 6 and March 7, 8 p.m.Music: Princeton University Orchestra Concert
The winners of this year’s concerto competition are featured in Princeton University Orchestra’s first concert of the semester, and the program is pretty potent: Debussy and Mozart, and all the other cool classical kids are going to be there.

March 6 and March 7, 8 p.m.A cappella: “Ladies’ Night”
If archsings are too testosterone-filled for you — or just too windy and wet — then check out Princeton’s three all-female a cappella groups at Theatre Intime on Friday. A guest appearance from eXpressions Dance Company is also on the bill, and all proceeds will benefit Womanspace, a nonprofit agency that provides services to women and families affected by domestic abuse.

A cappella: Archsing
Brave the ridiculously inconsistent weather to support your favorite a cappella groups tonight. In order of appearance, starting at 10 p.m.: the Tigerlilies, Footnotes, Tigressions, Katzenjammers, Tigertones, Roaring 20, Wildcats and, last but not least at 11:45 p.m., the Nassoons.

March 5, 10 p.m.UFO Film: “Milk”
You can argue about whether Mickey Rourke or Sean Penn deserved Best Actor more, but it’s hard to deny the astonishing sensitivity and beauty of Penn’s performance as Harvey Milk, the gay-rights activist and tragic martyr. If you ask me, the movie itself wasn’t the masterpiece it was hyped to be, but it’s still an evocative and detailed re-enactment of one of the most important — and enduringly relevant — episodes in 20th-century American politics.

Music: Madeleine Peyroux
A chart-busting phenomenon of modern jazz, Madeleine Peyroux is like Norah Jones’ much cooler and more sophisticated cousin. She’ll be playing in Tarrytown, N.Y., on Saturday night, offering spectators the chance to hear her haunting, Billie Holiday-esque voice live. Expect tracks from her forthcoming studio album, “Bare Bones,” which I can guarantee you will sell an absurd number of copies in a very short time.

March 7, 9 p.m.Music: Jadakiss
Desperate to prove he’s still in the game, hardcore East Coast rapper Jadakiss will be spittin’ rhymes on the Apollo Theater stage this weekend. He’s just in time, too: His new album, “The Last Kiss,” drops in a few days. If he can rope in even a quarter of the album’s guests — everyone from Raekwon to Ne-Yo is featured — it should be a great show.
