Grandma Lyman's Scalloped Apples

Ingredients:

6 baking apples, medium to large; peeled, cored and quartered 1/2 cup water 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 2 tablespoons maple syrup (if you don't have maple syrup, just add more sugar) Directions:

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. - Place apples rounded-side up, in shallow baking dish. - Pour water, lemon juice, sugar and maple syrup over all the apples. - Bake uncovered for about one hour until apples are tender. - Enjoy!
