My quote in the Prince yesterday unintentionally implied that the administration does not take disciplinary actions seriously. The administration takes the disciplinary system at this school very seriously, as do I. I merely meant to say that a student's discipline record would not necessarily hinder either candidate from effectively interacting with the administration as USG President.
I would also like to make a note on the details of the lunches with Dean Malkiel. These were not one-on-one lunches, but rather, lunches with other student leaders and other members of the administration that were held with the purpose of discussing the 4-year colleges.
Students should concern themselves if a candidate's disciplinary record would effect their ability to work with the administration. However, in this case, I wholeheartedly believe that either candidate, if elected, can work with the administration to pursue the common goal of making policies that are best for current and future Princeton students. — Grant Gittlin '08
