Student suffers broken foot after being struck by a car on Washington Road

A car struck Ann Moore '01 yesterday afternoon as she crossed Washington Road.

Moore, who was hit at about 12:30 p.m., was taken by ambulance to McCosh Health Center where she was treated for a broken bone in her foot, according to Borough Police Capt. Charles Davall.

Davall said the car's tire ran over Moore's foot as she was using the crosswalk near Frick Laboratory.

The vehicle — a 1997 Saab — was driven by Craig Thompson of Plainfield, N.J., according to Davall.

Thompson is receiving a summons for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, he said. — LEE WILLIAMS
