Police arrest alleged Campbell trespasser

A man police believe to have entered a women's restroom in Campbell Hall last week was charged Monday night with criminal trespassing, according to Borough Police Lt. Anthony Federico.

Borough Police have identified the suspect as 34-year-old Marco Trevisan. He was arrested Sunday evening after a separate incident in which he allegedly trespassed in the basement of Nassau Hall.

While in the building, the suspect was allegedly burning magazines in a women's restroom, in a toilet and in a laundry room, according to Lt. Charles Davall.

Trevisan was charged Sunday with burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest after he shoved an officer who was trying to apprehend him, Davall said. He added that police do not know how Trevisan was able to enter the basement.

According to Davall, Trevisan allegedly entered Campbell Hall about 11:30 p.m. Thursday and went into a women's restroom, where he pulled open the shower curtain as a female student was showering.

Police could not charge Trevisan with harassment because the victim did not identify him as the suspect in a photo line-up, according to Davall.

However, Trevisan was charged with criminal trespassing after another student verified he had seen the suspect roaming the Campbell basement, Davall said.

Trevisan is being held at Mercer County Jail on $5,000 bond, according to a police statement.
