Tennis teams hopeful for Ivy success as league play continues

Heading into the heart of Ivy League play, both the men’s and women’s tennis teams look to build off of quality wins last week. The men defeated Cornell 4–3 in an exciting match, while the women remain undefeated in Ivy League play after weekend victories.

Individual NCAA victories point to exciting future for women’s fencing

NCAA title hauls from saber Maia Chamberlain and épée Kasia Nixon, both sophomores, in late March capped off a spectacular finish to a turbulent season for the Princeton women’s fencing team. The duo would lead the Tigers to secure their first ever double-title win, in what was not only a joyous celebration of individual talent, but also an indication of a very bright future for the program.

Tiger open women to host first-ever Ivy League Invitational

It will be a busy morning on Lake Carnegie this Saturday as all four Princeton rowing squads host Ivy League competitors. The open women’s crew will be last to take to the water as they host the first-ever Ivy League Invitational. This regatta will feature all the Ivy League teams except Brown, who will travel next weekend to California to face West Coast crews at the Lake Natoma Invite.

Men’s tennis falls to Penn in Ivy League opener

Men’s tennis (15–8 overall, 0–1 Ivy) was defeated 6–1 by the University of Pennsylvania (12–9 overall) on Saturday in Philadelphia. After losing to Penn State (11–9 overall) on March 17 and subsequently winning two out of three matches on its spring break trip to Florida, the Tigers fell short in their first Ivy League matchup of the season.

Men’s lacrosse falls in heartbreaker to Brown

This past weekend of March 31, the men’s lacrosse team (3–5 overall, 0–3 Ivy League) travelled to Providence to take on Brown in its third Ivy League match of the year looking for its first League win and its first win on the road.

Men's Lacrosse kicks off Ivy League play with pair of losses

The Princeton men’s lacrosse team (3–4, 0–2 Ivy League) has had a difficult start to its Ivy League season. Facing two of the conference’s top teams in No. 20 Penn (5–4, 1–1) and No. 4 Yale (6–1, 2–0), Princeton lost 14–7 to Penn and 16–8 to Yale. 

Men's tennis finishes non-conference play with Florida trip

After coming off of a 4–3 loss at Penn State, the Princeton men’s tennis team (15–7) traveled to Florida over spring break to compete in its final series of matches before Ivy League play begin this weekend. The 46th-ranked Tigers faced the 40th-ranked University of Central Florida (9–6), University of South Florida (11–7), and Florida Gulf Coast University (5–9).

Declan Farmer ’20 wins Paralympic gold in sled hockey

While most Princeton students were enjoying the first weekend of spring break, sophomore Declan Farmer was up to something a bit more exciting — leading Team USA to a gold medal in sled hockey at the 2018 Winter Paralympics. Farmer was the star in the dramatic 2–1 U.S. victory in the gold medal game against Canada.
