Mohamed Hamza ’23 finishes seventh in men’s foil at the Olympics

Hamza will fence again in the team men’s foil event on August 1 with his Egyptian teammates, Alaaeldin Abouelkassem and Mohamed Hassan. “I’ll definitely take this momentum into my team event,” he told the ‘Prince,’ “and the following individual Olympic event in Paris 2024 hopefully!”

Following the recent advancement to Phase IV, the final stage of the Ivy League’s four-phase plan, Princeton Athletics has released an updated spring competition schedule that includes softball games, track meets, and rowing competitions. This weekend, teams will compete for the first time since the pandemic shuttered Ivy League athletics in March 2020.

‘Creating our competitive identity’: Women’s swimming and diving sets eyes on the fall

Coming off a dominant win at the Ivy League championships in 2020, the Princeton women’s swim and dive team was looking forward to defending their title in 2021. Instead, COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the entire season. Now back on track, the team looks forward to next season to try and remain on top.

Ivy League to allow graduate eligibility for current senior athletes

The Ivy League Council of Presidents voted to grant current senior student-athletes an extra year of competitive eligibility if they are accepted to, and enroll at, the graduate school of their current university for the 2021-2022 academic year only. With applications for 2021 admission at Princeton University already closed, it is unclear how much of an impact this new measure will have on Princeton student-athletes.
