Seniors, juniors, freshmen migrate to Gmail server

The email accounts of all current freshmen, juniors and seniors have officially migrated to Gmail after years of using Webmail. While the Classes of 2013, 2014 and 2016 switched on Aug. 13, the Class of 2015 will remain with the old email server until Oct. 1 — a delay caused by technical transition issues.

Housing finds rooms for larger-than-expected student body

After facing a potential room shortage over the summer due to the accidentally large Class of 2016, the Housing Office has managed to successfully assign every student who has requested housing to a dorm room. Only a single student, who applied to the wait list past the deadline, was unable to secure housing.

After nine year absence, Third Eye Blind to return for fall Lawnparties

Third Eye Blind will headline this fall’s Lawnparties USG-sponsored concert, president Bruce Easop ’13 announced Saturday.An alternative rock band, Third Eye Blind debuted with a self-titled album in 1997. The band rose to fame through popular hits such as “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper” and “How’s It Going to Be.” Third Eye Blind’s most recent album, “Ursa Major,” was released in 2009.

Tilghman faces subpoena for Google records

University President Shirley Tilghman has been ordered to turn over all her correspondence with top executives at Google, where she serves on the board of directors, as part of a subpoena signed by a New Jersey judge last month. The subpoena was issued as part of a class action lawsuit that alleges inappropriate action by Google’s top executives, including Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt ’76, and seeks correspondence from all members of the company’s board.

Update: Third Eye Blind will headline the fall concert, USG president Bruce Easop '13 announced on Saturday. The USG uploaded then quickly removed a developmental website previewing the upcoming semester’s Lawnparties, which included a playlist of songs from Third Eye Blind and other bands including Twenty One Pilots, Matt & Kim and A B & The Sea.
