Had it remained a university-recognized fraternity, the chapter would have been forced to comply with the sanctions. Interfraternity Council President David Shapiro said that Penn’s AEPi chapter plans to become a pseudo-Greek organization, which carries no affiliation with the Greek community at large.
The leadership and members of Penn’s AEPi chapter declined to comment to The Daily Pennsylvanian.
