A new report from the National Association of Colleges and Employers predicts a 10.2 percent increase in the hiring of new college graduates compared to the hiring of the Class of 2011. Last year, the Job Outlook Spring 2011 Update projected a hiring increase of 19.3 percent, the first increase since 2007.

William “Mandela” Sheaffer ’13 was arrested by police in Bowling Green, Ohio, on Saturday morning, sparking a growing social media campaign claiming that his arrest was an “injustice” that resulted from racial profiling. Slain teen inspires protest

U. considers new pub in Cafe Viv

The University is making progress toward reinstating a campus pub, which has evaded the campus for nearly three decades, to be potentially located in Cafe Viv, which is located in Frist Campus Center.Last May, the Working Group on Campus Social and Residential Life recommended the return of the pub, which was previously located in the cafe in Chancellor Green. This semester, a steering committee will meet to consider issues surrounding its implementation, including food and beverage dispensation and hours of operation.
