The consolidation of Princeton Borough and Princeton Township in three weeks won’t just usher a new governing structure — it will also inaugurate a new logo for the consolidated community. On Wednesday, the new government and the Arts Council of Princeton unveiled the new logo, which was decided on after a competition solicited 75 entries.
The winning logo was designed by Jeff Leonard, a Princeton resident and industrial designer, and features a green tree against a black background. The word “Princeton” is written above the tree in white letters and “New Jersey” below in orange.

“I believe this new design is truly representative of the town of Princeton,” Borough Mayor Yina Moore ’79 said in a statement.
