Borough Police have charged an employee of Tandoori Bite on Witherspoon Street with simple assault after he allegedly threatened to kill a fellow employee and then allegedly attempted to stab him with a fork on Saturday. The attack occurred in the restaurant, police Captain Nick Sutter said in a press release.
Surjit Singh, a 33-year-old resident of Westampton, N.J., allegedly became involved in an argument with another restaurant employee and pushed the victim to the ground. The victim then defended himself with his hands against the fork but had his right hand slightly lacerated, the police reported.
Singh was also charged with making terroristic threats and unlawful possession of a weapon.
In a separate incident on Friday near the old University Medical Center at Princeton, a 19-year-old woman from Trenton allegedly attacked a male victim with a knife and threatened to kill him. The woman, Dyasia Harrell, and the man fought for possession of the weapon and both suffered minor lacerations to their hands in the process, according to police. The two were previously acquainted, police said.
Harrell was charged with aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and unlawful possession of a weapon. She was released on $10,000 bail.
