The University’s oldest living alumnus, Malcolm Warnock ’25, died on Tuesday at the age of 107, according to Princeton Alumni Weekly. On eight separate occasions, Warnock led the P-Rade at Reunions and carried the Class of 1923 cane, which is bestowed on the most senior returning graduate.
This past spring, Warnock became the first alumnus to return for his 87th Reunion. A retired lawyer, Warnock was the oldest alumnus at Reunions in 2001 and between 2006 and 2012. Leonard Ernst ’25, who was slightly older than Warnock, led the P-Rade in 2002, 2004 and 2005 but presumably did not attend in the years that Warnock held the cane. Ernst died in August 2008.
