Presidential search committee to convene in October

The USG will interview students for the positions between Oct. 2 and Oct. 5. USG president Bruce Easop ’13 said he will not serve as one of the two representatives. The application for those two positions, distributed to seniors on Wednesday, also said the committee would meet once or twice a month, with its first meeting scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20. Each meeting will last a couple of hours.

The application also stressed the need for secrecy during the presidential selection process, noting the meetings must be held in “strict confidence.” The 12-question application also asks students to provide examples of times they “handle[d] an issue discretely.”

The committee will be led by chair of the board Kathryn Hall ’80 and staffed by University Vice President and Secretary Robert Durkee ’69. The two students on the committee will be joined by nine trustees, four professors, a staff member and a graduate student.
