In 2011, Aton was appointed to the Zoning Board and also ran unsuccessfully for Township Committee. Aside from his political career, Aton is a businessman currently working with the owners of the Ivy Inn to open a restaurant, scheduled to open this summer.
The new governing council will be formed following last November’s vote to consolidate Princeton Borough and Princeton Township.
