Forty-one seniors are running for the Class of 2012 Young Alumni Trustee, the largest number of candidates since the University began keeping records of the YAT elections in 1999. The Young Alumni Trustee is elected annually from the senior class to serve a four-year term on the Board of Trustees. The candidates for this year’s position are:
Malavika Balachandran, Joey Barnett, Norm Bonnyman, Julie Chang, Christina Chang, Vijay Chetty, Claire Cole, Gabriel Debenedetti, Ann-Marie Elvin, Pete Florence, Jonathan Ford, Jr., Shannyn Gaughan, Angela Groves, Yu-Sung Huang, Tara Knoll, Dan Kowalski, Talia Barash Kwartler, Alexandra Landon, Becca Lee, Lindy Li, Zane Ma, Josphat Kiptoo Magutt, Colleen McCullough, Alexandra McIlraith, Sandra Mukasa, Pauline Nguyen, Sanchali Pal, Laura Pedersen, Amira Polack, Katlin Poladian, Clayton Raithel, Nilan Schnure, Devany Schulz, Bailey Sperry, Ariana Tiwari, Neha Uberoi, Jim Valcourt, Evan Welch, Haley White, Michael Yaroshefsky and Sojung Yi.
Barnett, Debenedetti, Uberoi, Magutt, White, Raithel, Knoll and Yi are former staff members of The Daily Princetonian.
The primary election begins online on March 6 and runs through March 15. The final election will take place in late spring. The current Young Alumni Trustees are Aku-Ammah Tagoe ’11, Josh Grehan ’10, Liz Dilday ’09 and Meaghan Petersack ’08.
