USG Movie: ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ (2011)
Disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist enlists computer hacker Lisbeth Salander in his quest to uncover the truth behind a woman’s disappearance. The first in author Stieg Larsson’s bestselling trilogy, “Dragon Tattoo” was first made into a Swedish film — titled “Man som hatar kvinnor,” or “Men Who Hate Women” — before this remake from director David Fincher. Fincher’s “Dragon Tattoo” racked up five Academy Award nominations, including one for Rooney Mara as misfit heroine Lisbeth. Starring Mara and Daniel Craig.

Musical: ‘Merrily We Roll Along’
Directed by Elizabeth Swanson ‘12, PUP’s production of George Firth and Stephen Sondheim’s Tony-nominated musical focuses on three old friends and their careers in show business. The story follows them as they retrace their lives, starting from their darkest moments and working back to the fall of 1959, when they were just three teenagers with nothing but dreams and optimism.

Concert: African Drumming and Dancing
As part of the Fourth International Symposium on the Music of Africa, the Princeton Department of Music will be hosting an exhibition concert of African drumming and dancing. The concert will be led by the famous Yoruba Master Talking Drummer Bisi Adeleke. In addition to this musical and rhythmic exhibition, there will be awesome African-inspired events going on this weekend. With discussions, workshops and concerts, this is certainly not an event to be missed.
