Film: Tokyo Story

The Subtitles Film Club presents Tokyo Story at Wu Cafe. This 1953 Japanese film is about an aging couple that visits their children in Tokyo. It will be followed by a discussion, and drinks and other refreshments will be served! Come watch this classic movie and unwind after a long last week of classes.

Concert: Princeton University Sinfonia

Start off the holidays by enjoying some classical music by Princeton’s own Sinfonia. Your ears will delight in the sound of Beethoven’s “Egmont Overture,” the pure folksy fun of Dvorak, the youthful vigor of Brahms and, of course, Vaughan Williams’ beautiful “Greensleeves.” And to please your stomach there will be snacks served afterward.

Concert: Ava Luna and Jump Into the Gospel 

For some late night indie jams, head to Terrace Club’s last show of 2011. Jump Into the Gospel sets the tone for the night with infectious pop rock melodies. Stick around afterward for headliner Ava Luna, a group that’s been buzzing around Brooklyn with the likes of Twin Sister and Toro y Moi, for some funky doo-wop grooves and harmonies to rival the Dirty Projectors.
