Concert: Swingin’ In the Ivy League: The Columbia/Princeton Jazz Summit
Our very own Princeton Jazz Ensemble is having a gig featuring the Columbia Jazz Ensemble next Saturday night. That means two heavy hitters in one show. Even if you don’t dig jazz, there’s plenty of entertainment to be provided in counting the number of times your jaw drops at how crazily talented that kid you saw walking down the hall this morning is with the trumpet. A side note: Both directors of the jazz programs are so awesome that they literally have theirname.com websites dedicated to them.

Dance: We’re Bringing Bhangra BAC
We’ve all watched BAC and Bhangra dance and said to ourselves, “Now, if only I could do that, I might be able to (insert dream accomplishment here).” This Thursday, that dream can become a reality at We’re Bringing Bhangra BAC, as members of each team will be teaching you their secrets. Come down for a chance to win the Dance Off, after which you can lord over all of your non-dancing friends. Or if you’re not the phenomenon you thought, at the very least you’ll have a great time pulling all of your muscles.

Come see the Princeton Glee Club and Chamber Choir present ‘Readings and Carols’, a sure-to-delight mixture of the Christmas songs we grew up listening to but with a Glee-ful twist. Also expect hilarious read-aloud excerpts from literature inspired by the season along with music from four centuries of Christmases. Bring a date, or bring a roommate, but don’t miss out on a relaxed and cheerful evening of lights, music and the spoken word.

Dance: Bellydance Workshop with Nyla
Ever wondered how you could look sexy AND get a work out? And, no, I’m not talking about Zumba. Come learn some moves from Nyla, a professional bellydancer from Philadelphia. There are two workshops: The one at 6 p.m. will focus on basic shapes, footwork and traveling techniques, and the one at 7 p.m. will explore sword technique. It is suggested that you bring kneepads and a sword or a suitable substitute. What more could you ask for on a Sunday night than bellydancing with swords? You won’t want to miss this.
