“I am thrilled to join the staff of the Lewis Center,” Runk said. “I look forward to helping connect the public to the outstanding arts experiences available at the Lewis Center.”
Since 1991, Runk has held a variety of positions on the staff of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a government program that awards arts grants within the state. He most recently served as the program’s executive director. Before joining the Arts Council, Runk was the assistant director of the summer session at Rutgers University and manager of marketing communications for an architectural design company.
Runk graduated from Villanova University in 1985 with a degree in visual arts and communications.
“Steve comes to the Lewis Center with an extensive knowledge of the arts and a strong background in communications,” Cadden noted in the announcement. “His knowledge of the New Jersey arts community ... will help us to get the word out about Princeton’s vibrant arts scene.”
Ruck is succeeding Marguerite d’Aprile-Smith, who has held the director of communications post since the launch of the Lewis Center.
