Film: Contagion

A star-studded cast struggles to prevent society from collapsing into panic and terror after a lethal airborne virus is released. The wild chase spans nine countries as filming locations. You’ll want to wash your hands after watching this one. The movie is playing free at the Princeton Garden Theatre, in addition to “Ides of March.”

Double, double, toil and trouble: Witches and ghosts, fear and ambition drive Macbeth and his Lady to unspeakable acts of violence. Come see the Princeton Shakespeare Company’s production of the Scottish play, directed by Allie Kolaski ’13.

Party: P-ABC Star Party

Do you wish you could just lie back and watch the stars? Now you can, in a social way! The event will also include performances from the student band The Divergence and free “out-of-this-world” food!

Concert: Princeton University Orchestra

Ruth Ochs conducts the university’s premiere orchestra in its first two concerts of the season. Come for Verdi’s overture to La Forza del Destino and Sibelius’ symphony celebrating the Finnish spirit, but stay for the marimba concerto, featuring Kevin Laskey ’12 as the soloist. (If you don’t know what a marimba concerto sounds like, come to find out!) Tickets are $8 for students but free with the Passport to the Arts.

Film: Ringu 

Love getting scared? In preparation for Halloween, the Japanese Student Association is hosting a film screening of “Ringu,” the horror film that inspired “The Ring.” Along with the thriller, there will be Asian snacks available. The showing is sponsored by the USG Projects Board.
