With an average annual return of 10.1 percent, Yale has consistently surpassed those of other universities for the last decade.
Yale’s endowment is currently valued at $19.4 billion, while Harvard’s is $32.0 billion. Princeton has not yet released its numbers, but its endowment for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010, was $14.4 billion.

Yale’s endowment performance this year is significantly better than that of previous years. A year ago its endowment return was 8.9 percent, while the year before recorded an endowment drop of 24.6 percent.
