Rebecca Gomperts, a visiting fellow in the Wilson School, has been honored by Women Deliver as one of the 100 “Most Inspiring Individuals Delivering for Girls and Women.”
Women Deliver is a group dedicated to generating “political commitment and financial investment ... to reduce maternal mortality and achieve universal access to reproductive health.”
Gomperts is the founder of Women on Waves and Women on Web.
Women on Waves is an organization that navigates ships in international waters off of nations in which abortion is illegal, providing health counseling and abortions.
Women on Web is a website offering women advice on abortions.
In February, a talk given by Gomperts spurred two Daily Princetonian columns disagreeing over the mission of Women on Waves.
