News & Notes: University ranked 12th most stressful college in country

The University came in 12th in a recent ranking by The Daily Beast of the 50 most stressful colleges in the country.

Princeton was the fifth highest-ranked Ivy League School. Columbia was ranked first, Harvard third, Penn fourth and Yale 10th.

The rankings took into account cost of attendance, competitiveness, acceptance rate, rigor of the engineering program and crime on campus.

Cost of attendance and competitiveness each accounted for 35 percent of colleges’ scores. Acceptance rate, engineering program difficulty and crime on campus each accounted for 10 percent of the rankings.

With a total cost of $48,580, Princeton was ranked 31st for tuition and board.

The University came in fifth for selectivity, second for competitiveness, 17th for engineering rigor and 14th for campus crime.
