The poignant documentary “Miss Representation,” playing on Thursday, explores the media’s representation of women and its effect on female self-perception in America. Considering the study just released by the University regarding a similar issue, this film could be a real conversation starter.
Johnny Depp stars in the animated hit “Rango” as the voice of a lone lizard trying to make his way in a Wild West town filled with ferocious animals and no sheriff. With an all-star voice cast including Abigail Breslin, Isla Fisher, Alfred Molina and Bill Nighy, “Rango” promises something for everyone. The film will be playing all weekend.
Be sure to catch the exciting sneak preview showing of “Bridesmaids” on Friday and Saturday. Kristen Wiig of “Saturday Night Live” cowrote and stars in this soon-to-be-released wedding comedy. When Annie (Wiig) finds out her best friend is getting married and is asked to be the bridesmaid, she accepts without knowing what her position will entail, embarking on a journey in the spirit of “The Hangover.”
