Flyers have been circulating around the seminary campus that highlight the number of abortions among the African-American community with slogans such as “Black Genocide in the 21st Century.”
One version had a picture of a noose; another bore the slogan, “in the new klan lynching is for amateurs.”
The seminary, located on Mercer Street, is unaffiliated with the University.
“I was shocked and appalled that someone would place something like that up at this particular institution,” seminary student body president Maurice Stinnett said to CBS 2.
The flyers first appeared for a period of time around November and reappeared in February. Students at the seminary are planning to hold a forum today to address the circulating images and the accompanying controversy.
