Within Mercer County, men have slightly higher bachelor’s degree attainment levels with 39.7 percent in comparison to 37.78 percent of women.
While the county is 66.42 percent white, 19.73 percent black, 12.84 percent Hispanic and 7.86 percent Asian, the number of individuals with bachelor’s degrees was not proportional by racial or ethnic breakdown. Instead, 41.99 percent of white adults, 15.23 percent of black adults, 13.59 percent of Hispanic adults and 76.08 percent of Asian adults have bachelor’s degrees.
