The Princeton franchise will not sell alcohol, however.
Trader Joe’s may help to fill the void left by the bankruptcy and subsequent closure of Olive May Natural Foods, which shut its doors at 255 Nassau St. earlier this month after a little more than two years in business. The Nassau Street site has a recent history of grocery store closures, with three in the last 12 years. Wild Oats, which occupied the location prior to Olive May and sold organic food and produce, went out of business in 2007 after nine years in business. The site’s longest occupant was Davidson’s, a family-owned grocery store that closed in 1998 after 43 years.
