Borough Police arrested a man this afternoon in connection with a report of criminal sexual contact that occurred at roughly 3:20 a.m. at Alexander Beach last Sunday. A female University student reported that she had been assaulted by a man who physically restrained her and “reached under her clothes to touch her,” according to a campus-wide safety alert e-mail sent on Sunday morning.
Currently, the suspect has not been charged with the two incidents of lewdness that also occurred last weekend. He is being held on bail at Borough Police headquarters, according to a campus-wide e-mail sent by Deputy Director of Public Safety Charles Davall on Tuesday evening.
Friday evening, Borough Police arrested a different man in connection with a separate incident of criminal sexual contact.
