In an e-mail to The Daily Princetonian at 11 p.m., senior elections manager Braeden Kepner-Kraus '10 said that Michael Weinberg '11 has defeated Nick DiBerardino '11 to become USG vice president, according to the original results of the election. The USG Senate has decided at an emergency closed executive session to overturn Kepner-Kraus' decision on Monday night to hold a revote for the vice presidential race.
Outcomes of the other races were released earlier this afternoon.
Trevor Martin '11 is the new USG treasurer, defeating John Monagle '12. Undergraduate Life Committee (ULC) chair Arthur Levy '10 held onto his seat against challenger Cameron Browne ’12.
The student body voted against the dueling referenda issued by the Equality Action Network (EAN) and the Coalition for Intellectual Liberty (CIL). The EAN referendum asks the University to sign an amicus brief opposing the outcome of California's Proposition 8 against gay marriage. The CIL's referendum asks the University to "refrain from creating a false impression of consensus, or imposing on those holding minority positions, by associating the University with particular points of view on disputed questions of morality, law, and policy."
Connor Diemand-Yauman '10 ran unopposed for USG president. George Tsivin '11 ran unopposed for campus and community affairs (CCA) chair. Sitting USG academics chair Ben Lund '10 was unchallenged for his re-election bid.
Cole Morris '10 was re-elected Class of 2010 senator. Christina Bortz '10 will join him in representing the junior class. They defeated Stevan Cablayan ’10.
Helen Chen '11 and Derek Welski '11 beat out John Cappel '11 and Vishal Chanani '11 to replace current sophomore class senators Tsivin and DiBerardino.
Julie Chang '12 and Becca Lee '12 were elected freshman class senators, defeating fellow freshmen Robert Blatt, Leila Howard, Waqas Jafri, Andreas Sakellaris, Eleanor Meegoda, Jay Parikh, Quintilio Rose and Michael Yaroshefsky.
