Nash home catches fire

The fire began when Nash’s son, John C. Nash, was burning papers and documents in a sink in the basement of the house. The flames from the papers got out of control, and the area behind the basement sink caught fire.

By 8 a.m. the Princeton Junction Fire Company and West Windsor Fire Company both arrived at the scene and put out the blaze. The fire was extinguished before any serious damage was done to the house.
