At first a baby breathes in air and light
bringing life to his small lungs and frail heart.
Crying, kicking for the very first time
he meets the exhausted hands of Her love
and as his sealed eyes open he sees God
in his Mother's pale countenance.
II. The First Kiss
Barely able to see her countenance
in the dark he kisses her and feels light
surging, crashing and straying from his God.
Torn between his past and her lips his heart

wavers a moment before bringing love
closer to all that runs and escapes time.
III. The First Loss
He walks with the rest and for the first time
marks the wrinkles of her countenance.
Tasting the last drops of injected love
she said ten fe* before exhaling light,
leaving him alone to beat his frail heart
mercilessly without hope, without God.
IV. The First Son
Child in arms he realizes what his God
rends and pieces together throughout time.
Tears slowly fill his eyes and his black heart
ruptures. Her emaciated countenance
cuts through his eyelids with wetted light
flowing through the roots of a withered love.
V. The First Solitude
After his shoulders grow heavy, only love
keeps vigils with him. Waiting for his God
they try to imagine how His faint light
carried and guarded in lanterns bends time
to its beginnings unearthing the countenance
petrified under the sands of his heart.
VI. The First End
Listening closely he hears his frail heart
relinquishing the last, thick streams of love.
Eyes closed he sees Their countenances
now made pure by his everlasting God.
Crying, kicking for the last time
he falls asleep tasting a sterile light.
VII. The First Truth
The countenances kept in his heart
were the faint light that he and love
imagined God carried by the threads time.
