WHO SHOULD WIN
Fareed Ben-Youssef: Daniel Day-Lewis
I was really impressed by Viggo Mortensen, but you have to see Day-Lewis and realize that he is the top actor of his generation. He takes a role so over-the-top and infuses it with sadness and suffering. When he's on the screen, you simply cannot look away.
Adam Tanaka: Daniel Day-Lewis
Day-Lewis is just incredible. Paul Dano, who plays the priest, is good, but I'm afraid that every minute Day-Lewis is on screen I couldn't look at anybody else. And that's a good thing, not a flaw.

Jun Koh: Daniel Day-Lewis
Other elements of "There Will Be Blood" help make it the masterpiece that it is, but Day-Lewis probably takes 40 percent of the movie on his back and makes it his own. His acting is what makes the film a classic.
Russell O'Rourke: Daniel Day-Lewis
"There Will Be Blood" is ultimately a character study, so Day-Lewis had a ton of room to develop his character. He walks the line between over-the-top and realistic so perfectly in a challenging role.
WHO WILL WIN: Daniel Day-Lewis
The Academy loves Day-Lewis for good reason. They'll get it right with this one. -FBY
