The Presidential Suite

Most of us think of the Street as simply a place to eat or party, but there are a few among us who also call it home. Judging by tower president Jon Fernandez's '08 experience, living at an eating club is an enviable situation. Fernandez's presidential suite includes a private bedroom, bathroom and a common room that Jon shares with the club treasurer.

Fernandez says his bedroom is 200 square feet. His spacious bathroom is cleaned by the club's staff and has a spectacular view of the Woodrow Wilson School. And though not exceptional by college dorm standards, the common room is homey, with comfortable couches and a large TV.

Tower's proximity to important places on campus is a perk of living there, says Fernadez. Other benefits include consistent access to a library, a computer cluster, and food. Fernandez also says he enjoys the constant stream of visitors that come by his room, but when it is time study or sleep he might have to go elsewhere for peace and quiet.
