Welbilt, a rock band from Washington, D.C., will open for punk acts Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake at Quadrangle Club for next weekend's Lawnparties.
Reel Big Fish's 1997 hit "Sell Out" sparked the ska band's popularity. Now an independent band, since Jive Records dropped the group in 2006, the group is currently on tour for their newly released album titled "Our Live Album is Better Than Your Live Album."
After a world tour that featured concerts in the UK, Germany, Holland and Brazil, Less Than Jake, the punk-rock band from Gainesville Florida, will play hits from their new record "In With the Out Crowd."
The Lawnparties concert, scheduled for May 6, is cosponsored by the USG, Alcohol Initiative and Quad. More to come.
