'Prince' Elects Apple Chairman, Motland Voted Business Manager

Raymond W. Apple Jr. '57 a 21-year old junior from Akron, Ohio, has been elected chairman of the Daily Princetonian for the coming year.

Taking over the 'Prince' reins with Apple at the beginning of next term will be Randall K. Motland '57, newly-chosen business manager, and Robert A. Caro '57, who will serve as managing editor.

A member of the Quadrangle Club, Apple came to Princeton from Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, where he edited the school yearbook and sports editor of the newspaper. He is majoring in History.

Motland is a native of Montclair, N. J., and attended Andover. A member of Cloister Inn, he is enrolled in the Department of Economics.

Attended Horace Mann

A graduate of New York's Horace Mann School, where he was editor-in-chief of the weekly paper, The Record, Caro has contributed heavily to the Nassau Lit and the Tiger, in addition to his Princetonian duties, since coming here. He is in Elm Club and majors in English.

Named editorial chairman was Eberhard Faber '57, enrolled in the SPH program and a member of Colonial Club.

He will be assisted by John W. Milton Jr. '57, holding the post of associate editorial chairman. Milton is in Quadrangle Club.

William E. P. Tagney '57, of Quincy, Mass., has been designated executive editor of the "Prince." A member of Cannon Club, he majors in English.

Graber Is Sports Editor

The post of sports editor will be held by Alan L. Graber '57, a premedical student from Memphis, Tenn., and member of Quad. He will be assisted by another premed student, Norton S. Rosenweig '57, of Court Club, who will serve as associate sports editor.

Elected to top spots on the business board were Jonathan S. Reed '57, of New York City, who will be advertising manager, and Harrison I. Steans '57, of Lake Bluff, Ill., named assistant advertising manager.

Reed, a history major, is a member of Cloister, while Steans belongs to Quadrangle and majors in economics.

Charles L. Acree '57, of Evanston, Ill. was named assistant business manager.

Chosen to the post of office manager was Stuart P. Feld '68 of Clifton, New Jersey, a member of Elm Club.

Assisting Caro on the news board will be Robert D. Bolgard '57, of Campus Club, and Paul E. Klingensmith '57, of Quadrangle Club, both named associate managing editors. Bolgard hails from Evanston, Ill.; Klingensmith is from Merion, Pa.

Frederick W. Deming '57 will serve as feature editor. He is a resident of Webster Groves, Mo., and a member of Cloister Inn.

The posts of news editor and assistant news editor went to William F. Rosenblum Jr. '57, of New York City and Jack L. Goodman '57, of Shaker Heights, O. Rosenblum in Court Club, Goodman, in Campus.

Rounding out the business board, Peter F. Kohler '57 of Tiger Inn will be promotion manager; George U. Carneal '57, of Dial Lodge, circulation manager; James W. Swan '57, of Cap and Gown, associate circulation manager, and Douglas D. Kerin '57, of Dial Lodge, senior business editor.
