The Borough Police Department has released a sketch and photo of the man suspected of an attempted assault in Frist Campus Center on Oct. 2.
Lt. Dennis McManimon said Borough police have not yet identified the man and are still seeking assistance from the Princeton community.
The man climbed under a stall door in a bathroom in Frist last Sunday evening, according to the police report, and fled after "groping [the girl] and attempting to place his hand down her pants."
The man told a witness before the attack that he was homeless and unemployed, the report said.
The sketch was generated by a composite artist from the New Jersey State Police Department, who questioned the victim and witnesses and used their descriptions to create the final sketch.
The photo released by police was taken from a surveillance camera.
The attacker is described as a young Hispanic male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, who walks with a pronounced twitch in his right shoulder. He has some facial hair but no beard or moustache, and was wearing a hat with "Guatemala" embroidered on it.
McManimon said Borough police are using the Track System — which sends pictures and descriptions of the assailant to every police department in the state — to widen the search for the man.
"If the person is a transient ... then [the case] may be very difficult to solve," he said, adding that there was no physical evidence available.
"It could be as simple as this guy hitchhiking and getting stopped by a police officer, or it may be that someone sees him and calls us," McManimon said. "Or we may not get any calls — you never know."
Deputy Director Charles Davall said that Public Safety is "very hopeful" about apprehending the assailant.
"We have really good witness accounts and we hope that this picture generates more information," he said.
