In the midst of the presidential election flurry, media members from the eight Ivy areas headed to the polls to cast their votes for basketball pre-season picks.
The men's team was the runaway favorite, garnering 14 of the 16 first-place votes. The Tigers dominated regular season play last winter, winning 15 of their 16 games. Princeton then went on to play Texas in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
A number of key players like senior center Judson Wallace, senior guard Will Venable and senior forward Andre Logan will be returning this season to ensure that Princeton makes another solid run.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is the women's team, which received no first-place votes. The team finished last season 7-20 overall and 4-10 in conference play.
