Regarding 'Freshmen find their place in the aftermath of auditions' (Sept. 30):
Congratulations to everyone who was accepted into one of Princeton's campus groups or classes in the past few weeks. Still, if your audition or application didn't work out, or if you haven't yet decided what you want to do for the next four years, don't feel that you're doomed. It does seem that people here find their niches pretty quickly, but there really is still time to find what works for you.
Three weeks into my freshman year, I hadn't yet figured out who my closest friends would be, and I hadn't chosen activities to join, though I had been rejected from both freshmen seminars to which I applied. Nevertheless, I'm now extremely happy with my extracurricular choices, my friends, and my academic experience. I even added a new activity this year, and I'm incredibly jealous of the freshmen who have four more years to try the things I missed. Have fun, and don't stress too much! Cynthia Levine '05
